Liquidambar L. – is a genus of family Altingiaceae include 4 (5) species. Name of genus origin from Lat. words liquidus - liquid and ambar – scent, because of scent of healing resin obtained from the bark (Liquidambar orientalis). They are decorative marvelous trees that are used in the wood industry and for ornamental purposes. Autumn leaves change color to bright red, yellow, purple. Ornamental features Liquidambar L. supplement structure of the bark and habitus of columnar, spherical and bush forms.
