THE STATE AND SYSTEM OF MASS MEDIA IN CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES

The relevance of the research of the stated topic is due to the fact that over the past twenty years, some general trends have been observed in all Central Asian countries. Firstly, the ruling elites have begun to form a national media policy, trying to ensure its maximum independence from external influences (Russian, Western, Islamic) and make the media an instrument for promoting national socio-cultural consensus and preserving their power; secondly, the growth of certain segments of the population, especially the younger generation, increases the use of digital media, which are more difficult to control than television and print media.
